Outpatient Mental Health Counseling

Compassionate Care for Individuals, Adolescents & Families

At Southern California Road to Recovery, we provide personalized mental health counseling to help individuals and families navigate emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, and improve overall well-being.

Our approach combines evidence-based therapies, compassionate care, and respect for each person's unique experiences, cultural background, and treatment goals.

Individual Mental Health Counseling

We offer supportive, individualized counseling for a variety of emotional and behavioral health concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, depression, and mood-related difficulties

  • Stress, burnout, and life transitions

  • Trauma-related symptoms and emotional distress

  • Grief, loss, and adjustment challenges

  • Emotional regulation and coping skills

  • Relationship difficulties and self-esteem concerns

  • Co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns

Treatment may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches tailored to individual needs.

Adolescent & Young Adult Counseling

We support adolescents and young adults as they navigate emotional, social, and developmental challenges.

Counseling may address anxiety, depression, school stress, behavioral concerns, peer relationships, family conflict, and substance use prevention.

When appropriate, we involve parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, encourage healthy coping skills, and support positive family relationships.

Couples, Parenting & Family Counseling

Healthy relationships are an important part of emotional well-being.

Our family-centered services help individuals, couples, and families improve communication, navigate parenting challenges, manage conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connections.

We incorporate culturally responsive, family-based approaches that recognize the importance of individual experiences, family dynamics, and personal values.

Culturally Responsive & Individualized Care

We welcome individuals and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Our approach draws on culturally informed and flexible family-based treatment principles, including concepts from Culturally Informed and Flexible Family-Based Treatment for Adolescents (CIFFTA), when clinically appropriate.

We strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals feel respected, understood, and supported.
